Aliens exist, there’s no doubt about it, and they travel to Earth for economic, cultural and survival purposes. For instance, the loveable little chaps in E.T. were botanists, and their mission was to study plants on planet Earth. Also the Predator, from the movie Predator, was a professional predator (it should be a law that every article in the world mentions the word ‘predators’ at least 3 times!) who came to our planet to fight Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura. And, of course, Kal-El, otherwise known as Superman, was sent to planet Earth by his parents who hid him here so that General Zod couldn’t find him.
In this article though, we will focus on the alien abduction aspects of visitors from outer-space. In particular, the economic principles of alien abductions: what economic reasons are there for alien abductions and are aliens abducting efficiently.
Accounts of alien abductions on planet Earth suggests some sort of incentive for the aliens. Most abductees are from rural areas and are usually taken while traveling alone along secluded roads. Allegedly, in the classic abductee case, they are then subjected to experiments, probes, brain scans, telepathic mind control, sexual encounters and a range of medical procedures.
Like the fictional aliens highlighted earlier, there must be motivating principles and incentives for real aliens to travel millions of light years through a multitude of galaxies to visit Earth and abduct Earthlings. Let’s discuss the major economic reasons for alien abduction.
Maybe aliens abduct us for research purposes. UFOs may be used by scientific teams of aliens to study intergalactic species. As humans study and interfere in the life cycles of animals on earth, there is no reason why aliens wouldn’t do the same to us, especially if they consider us a lower life form than themselves. They could be using us, for instance, to test medication. This seems a bit implausible though, couldn’t they find a closer planet to test medical procedures?
Aliens might be abducting us for entertainment reasons. Perhaps our planet is like Jim Carrey’s movie ‘The Truman Show’ and all of us humans are unaware that aliens are watching us on TV. But if this is the reason then why aren’t we all abducted? Wouldn’t the aliens want to abduct all, or at least more, of us for their tv show? Maybe they do and we don’t realise? It seems that the typical alien abductee is usually a crackpot lunatic, it’s never the president of the USA or some high ranking government official that gets abducted. Or do they? Maybe they do and they are too afraid to speak out? More research is required in this area for us to conclude that a reality tv show is the reason for alien abductions.
A nuclear physicist, Stanton Friedman, theorizes that alien abduction may not be carried out to benefit alien society but, instead, to prevent their society’s destruction by us humans. He said: “I consider us a primitive society obsessed with tribal warfare […] we are a planet where $1 trillion is spent on military warfare each year.” Maybe we are the threat to aliens and they are somehow keeping us in check and monitoring us with abductions? Friedman claims that Earth may have served as a colony for extraterrestrial felons, like how Australia was used as a penal colony during the 18th Century. Humans would consequently be the descendants of prisoners, explaining the cruelty that persists in our society and why we would be a potential threat to the aliens who put us here. “We have become the epitome of a threat to the neighborhood. Perhaps we are being watched, or quarantined.” We should stress here that Friedman was an investigator of the famous 1947 Roswell UFO crash and, therefore, may not be completely unbiased in making his claims about the reasons for alien abductions. Thus, we can’t put too much weight on his theories.
Alternatively, aliens may be abducting us to advance their society in ways that we cannot comprehend. Who said that any reason we can come up with for aliens to abduct us must contain all the possible reasons for aliens to do so? Aliens are, by definition, alien and, therefore, their motives may be completely ‘alien’ to us and our understanding of the universe.
One aspect of alien abductions that seems to go against economic principles is the belief that aliens only abduct humans one at a time. Surely it is more efficient to abduct us in groups? Maybe aliens should abduct villages, ships or airplanes … and maybe they do. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared without a trace on March 8th 2014. Perhaps aliens abducted everyone on board? This is one theory for the strange disappearances of boats and planes in the Bermuda Triangle. Even if aliens do abduct us one at a time, this may actually be economically efficient. Aliens may be acting in the least observable way, abducting lone humans at night rather than abducting large groups of us and leaving witnesses.
To conclude, we believe that aliens are coming to Earth to hunt us like in the movie Predator. Oh wait, that’s not a point that we discussed in this article. Ummm no. We conclude that the most likely reason for alien abductions is for entertainment purposes. What else would they want us for? As we mentioned earlier though, more research must be conducted in this area.
